Meeting space is limited. Priority is given to library programs and our community non-profit partners on a first request, first served basis. Programs should be free and open to the public. To inquire about meeting room space, call the library at 797-8510, Monday through Thursday or Saturday 9-5 and ask to speak to the Assistant Director. We prefer at least one week's notice. Events should be scheduled to end 1/2 hour before library closing time. Those attending events in the meeting room should park behind the library off Walnut Street in the library lot or the city lot behind it and enter through the Walnut Street doors.

If your local nonprofit organization has an event or service that you would like to publicize, the library has a new way to do that. We have recently installed monitors in the library lobby. If you would like to have an event publicized, email your information or flyer to mhwpl.library@weirton.lib.wv.us. The information is easier to read if it is set up horizontally or landscape and as a picture file or .jpg. PowerPoint slides can also be inserted directly into the app. Adobe files cannot be inserted into the software directly, and we currently do not have the software to transfer them into other formats. Including a logo for your nonprofit is also helpful as we have been trying to include the logos in the corner to make it easier to identify the organization holding the event. We hope to use these for many purposes including public awareness of events and services, art and history displays, televised news, and even teleconferencing in the future.
