The Upper Ohio Valley Diabetes Coalition will be hosting a free workshop, “The Diabetes Self-Management Program” for persons with diabetes and their caregivers. The workshop begins Tuesday November 17^th and continues for 6 weeks. It will be held at the Mary H Weir Library located on Main Street in Weirton from 10 to 11:45 am. During the program the participants will learn and discuss their role in the care and management of diabetes, use self-help tools to balance and manage their diabetes, and identify common problems among people with diabetes. “By defining healthy eating and exercise, participants in the end will take charge of life and feel better,” states Cindy Webster, RN, instructor of the workshop.
